Counselling

If you have never had counselling before it can be quite daunting to make that first contact as you do not know what it’s all about.

What is a counsellor?

A counselling therapist is trained to be with you whilst you look at an area or time of distress in your life which is causing you pain, making you confused or affecting your everyday living.  It will be totally confidential and safe giving you the time and space to look at what’s going on for you.

Are they covered by a professional body?

A counsellor is a professional person who has been well trained over many years and, in Sue’s case, abides by the ethical code of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).  As a member of the BACP, you know that you are working with a registered member

How long is an appointment?

The usual appointment time is for an hour and it is up to you and your counsellor to decide how long counselling may be needed.  There is very much a feeling of working with the therapist, they are not there to judge you or tell you what to do, it is a gentle process enabling you to reach the best possible outcome for you.

How Do I Pay?

At the end of the session or as arranged with your counsellor.

Any More Questions?

Just ask.  It is totally confidential and always met with warmth and sincerity.
